Japanese Celebrate Divorce

we in the jewelry business love being a part weddings, and in the US, divorce rates are decreasing (yay!). In Japan however, there has been an increase in their divorce rate. Because of this, many Japanese couples choose to have a “Divorce Ceremony;” a day to celebrate the end of an unhappy marriage by saying ‘I Do’ on…e last time in front of friends and family. To symbolize the end of their marriage, they smash their wedding bands. Yikes! What an interesting way to look at the situation.
