When She Said Yes: Karin and Jon

Every summer since I was born my family vacationed at my grandparents cabin on the lake, up in Maine. Once Jon and I started dating he too joined the tradition of going there every summer. This past summer, Jon had something very special planned and even got my mom in on his master plan of a marriage proposal.

After 5 years together I knew it was coming but wasn't sure when. We spent the morning of the "big day" shopping around town in the pouring rain. Jon had mentioned he had wanted to go up to one of my favorite spots, Blueberry Hill, to take our Christmas card picture (that should have tipped me off right off the bat!) So that was the plan, regardless of the rain. My mom drove us up to Blueberry Hill and once we got to the top, it stopped raining... Perfect timing for Jon to get me up on a large rock and propose!

With my mom right there with us, I said yes! She of course was too caught up in the moment to photograph the actual proposal but was more than happy to capture the reenactment.
