Historic Five Points, Raleigh 100 Year Old Red Oak Tree

Vintage with a twist. As you know, we love everything vintage and especially pieces that tell a story. If you've been in our store recently, you probably have noticed or even sat at the beautiful large live edge red oak table. This table sure tells a great story and we just had to share.
In July 2019, a storm came thundering through historic Five Points Neighborhood, The Cottages at Whitaker, in Raleigh NC, taking down this huge 100-year-old Red Oak Tree in its path.
Since the tree landed in Jen’s front yard, she chose to take ownership of the tree and preserve the piece of history for generations to enjoy! The process involved three truckloads and over a year to kiln dry, saw, and mill into usable slabs and cookies to make into custom dining room tables, conference tables, coffee tables and so much more!

Pricing ranges from $2,000 - $15,000+ based on the size and complexity of the design.
The sample table at Joint Venture Jewelry is $10,000 and includes delivery. It's 9 feet 6 inches in length and 45 inches as its widest point, 26 inches wide at the smallest point.
