A project that touches the heart: Dorene's Family Legacy Necklace
Published: Apr 16, 2024

As we age and our loved ones are no longer here on earth, a profound connection often lingers, pulsating through the very fabric of our spirits. Here our client embarked on a heartfelt journey to honor the generations preceding her, intertwining their legacy with the very beats of her heart. Dorene contacted us online, as she lives out of state from our family jewelry shop, to work on a legacy necklace.
She had been searching for inspiration and stumbled upon a vintage cameo necklace, part of our estate collection, featuring three stations and she thought that might just work as a symbolic piece to honor her grandmother, mother, and auntie.

Dorene confided in Donna about the profound influence these three remarkable women had on her life, tugging at our heartstrings with the depth of her sentiment. Their significance was undeniable, igniting within us a resolute determination to bring her cherished necklace project to fruition. Despite the challenge of mismatched and imperfect photographs, including one in black and white and another people in the background, we remained undeterred. With meticulous care, we embarked on a journey to transform these snapshots into timeless treasures.

Through careful editing, background removal, and expert scaling, we seamlessly integrated the images into a harmonious whole, tailored precisely for the creation of this special legacy necklace. Using the technique of engraving on gold, we breathed new life into these precious memories, immortalizing the enduring beauty of Dorene's beloved mentors.

"I just want to say a heartfelt thank for you creating this piece for me which definitely will have everlasting memories. When I opened the box today, I was full of emotions. It was like I a we seeing my three family members all over again. Thanks again for this exquisite piece.” Dorene
