Our latest installment of When She Said Yes takes us from inspiration - through the custom design process to a beautiful final engagement ring design!
Cameron and Hong came in initially to see a setting we had in stock, which then became the inspiration. They both wanted something a bit unusual and wanted to build into the design the significance of their blended family of four. In addition, while Hong wanted platinum, she asked for a touch of yellow gold centered around a green stone. The green tourmaline she choose then became the focus of the design.
After the initial meeting, Cameron and Donna worked exclusively, as to insure an element of surprise when the final engagement ring was presented. Hong and her daughter's names all begin with “H” so we built that into the design of the wedding band and shank of the ring. This design went through several revisions until we got it just perfectly right.

Cameron presented the ring to Hong and her reaction made the detailed back and forth getting the design just right more than worth it! Congratulations to Cameron and Hong and their whole family. These two will tie the knot on February 28th, Leap Day! Their first technical anniversary, although they have been together for four years. We wish you all the best!
