Carley's Vintage Inspired Custom Creation

Making our client's jewelry dreams become a reality is kind of our specialty! And that's exactly what we did for Carley and her husband, Ray! Carley came to us with a London Blue topaz and a diamond cluster ring, both with a special meaning and with a vision to make them into one special ring. 

Rewind 10 years. Carley and Ray were dating and falling in love. They were classmates and Ray was studying in the States on a Student Visa from Iran.  But after learning his Visa would expire in just two weeks, he knew what he had to do! The two had been talking about their future, marriage, and how they didn't want Ray to return to Iran. He talked to Carley's father, asked for his blessing, and popped the question! Within that short period of time, they were engaged and married with a stunning London Blue topaz ring. 

Fast forward to the present day. Carley has a beautiful emerald-cut diamond on her finger and that meaningful London Blue topaz ring just sitting in her jewelry box. She came to us to create a new custom treasure she could enjoy wearing again! This vintage-inspired ring is now part of her everyday attire and she couldn't be happier! 


Let's outline the process of creating this beautiful ring from her family stones: 

• We started with a consultation, discussed her stones to be included, looked for inspiration from our estate collection, and determining scope. 

Next up was creating a computer-aided design rendering.

• After reviewing the first rendering we had some revisions: 

• • Adding a half bezel with milgrain around the center stone
•  
  • Less spacing between top and bottom stones
•  
  • Add an opening on the sides to make a "v" for a more delicate look
•  
  • Flush mount the accent stones 
•  
  • Add engraving on the side and bridge views 

• Our team worked up two new CAD renderings for Carley to review!
